The concept of a mastermind group (also called a "master mind alliance" or "peer advisory board") was brought to world attention by Napoleon Hill in his wonderful book, Think and Grow Rich, published in 1937 during the Great Depression. The wisdom in this book still rings true today. But mastermind alliances have been around since the beginning of humankind. Benjamin Franklin was part of such a team, which he called a Junta. The Greeks used the same concept, as did Thomas Edison.
By the way, did you know that Napoleon Hill did a 13-part TV series to talk about his ideas about success? It's wonderful to see and hear him in his own words. Watch it here.
