Have a Mastermind Group Story to Share?

Every month I hear wonderful stories from people about how mastermind groups have changed their life or business. I’m gathering these stories and publishing them on The Success Alliance website so that others can be inspired by your success and learn what makes a mastermind group work (or not work) for its members.

I will be choosing about 10-15 of these stories to include in my next book. I’d love to hear your mastermind group story!

Tell Your Story

Do you have a “Mastermind Group Story” to share, either as a mastermind group member or as a group facilitator? Here are some questions that may help spark your story-telling:

As a Mastermind Group Member

• What motivated you to reach your highest potential?
• How did your mastermind group help you overcome a stuck place or a rough patch?
• What changed in your life because of your participation in a mastermind group?
• What’s the best part about your mastermind group?
• If you could change one thing about your mastermind group, what would it be?
• Logistics/history: How long have you been a member of a mastermind group? Where and how often do you meet? Are you still a member?

As a Mastermind Group Facilitator

• What prompted you to first start facilitating mastermind groups?
• What is the best part about leading mastermind groups?
• If you could change one thing about your mastermind group, what would it be?
• Besides facilitating mastermind groups, are you also a member of a mastermind group?
• When did you first discover the concept of mastermind groups?
• If you could change one thing about your mastermind group, what would it be?
• Logistics: Where and how often do your groups meet?

The best stories have a beginning, a middle and an end. Start off by telling us why you joined or started a mastermind group. Tell us about the dream, the challenge, the decision that you had in front of you. Then tell us how your mastermind group made a difference.

Finally, tell your story from the heart. How did you feel while working on your dream or challenge with your mastermind group? How did the group support, encourage, and brainstorm with you?

Story Guidelines

1. Stories should be 300-500 words in length. That’s about one typewritten page.
2. Give your story a title.
3. Stories should be submitted either in plain text or Microsoft Word format.
4. Submit your story to office@thesuccessalliance.com
5. It’s okay to share stories about how your mastermind group didn’t work for you. Not every mastermind group is successful and we need to hear all sides of the story.
6. Include the following information:
   1. Your name
   2. Your email address (this will be kept private and not shared with others)
   3. Where you are located (if you want to keep this private, just tell us what city or town you are near)
   4. The name of your mastermind group, if your group has a name

When submitting your story via email, please include a .jpg, .png or .tif photo of yourself.
